Our History

Since 1910, 4 generations of men and women have been involved in building Champagne A. Margaine. A know-how has been passed down, but it is above all the passion of each and every one of them that has guided the development of the estate. The 5th generation, with Mathilde Margaine, is already on the road to knowledge and learning.

Located in Villers-Marmery, this village is unique in that its grape varieties are mainly Chardonnay (98%). An island of Chardonnay on the Montagne de Reims, where Pinot Noir usually dominates. Tillage and cover cropping have made a comeback here. With a ‘pragmatic’ approach to vineyard management, the winery strives to respect the environment.

The estate offers terroir-based champagnes for tasting, to be enjoyed in a convivial atmosphere.
