Our History
The history of Charlier is the fruit of the passionate work of two families of true Champagne winemakers.
Charlier & Fils offer a rarity that is now unique in Champagne: they keep their entire range in large-capacity wooden vats, known as “foudres de chêne”. This method is used for the entire production, whereas the big Houses reserve it for the development of exceptional vintages.
With a minimum ageing period of 8 months, and several years for reserve wines and Champagne spirits, the oak cask gives champagne its signature of nobility and elegance.
This know-how and experience have been passed down from generation to generation, offering powerful champagnes that are indisputably indulgent.
Member of the Club Trésors de Champagne since 1972.
