Our History
A family history that began with André Champion in 1929, who developed considerably his vineyard on the Chouilly land in the Côte des Blancs, the preferred area for Chardonnay.
His eldest son Roland, then aged 16, took over the family business. The estate was renamed “Champagne Roland Champion” in 1951. His son François joined him in the early 1970s and became the estates’ oenologist. He is now joined by his daughters, Carole and Clémence, the 4th generation.
For generations, the Champion family has been proud to share with you its passion for their characterful and terroir-driven champagnes, in the image of its founders.
